Privacy policy
Last updated: July 2026
Tiny Acorns ("we", "us") runs preschool dance sessions for families in Otley and Yeadon. This policy explains what information we collect when you register class interest, book a session or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We keep this short and only collect what we genuinely need.
What we collect
- Your name and email address.
- Your child's full name and age.
- The sessions you book and their payment status.
- Anything you choose to tell us in an enquiry message.
- For class-interest registration: the parent's first name and email address, children's ages without names, selected Otley or Yeadon time preferences, and preferred dance styles.
We do not collect or store your card details. Card payments are handled entirely by our payment provider (see below).
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
- To take and manage your booking, and to let you log in to view it. This is necessary to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract).
- To email you a booking confirmation and a login link when you ask for one.
- To reply to enquiries you send us (our legitimate interest in responding to you).
- To save your requested class preferences and email you about those proposed classes and booking availability (your consent).
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the services that make bookings and emails work:
- Stripe processes card payments securely on our behalf. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
- Resend sends our booking, login and class-interest emails and holds a dedicated class-interest contact audience.
We never sell your information. If you allow advertising cookies, limited booking-measurement information is shared with Meta as explained below.
Advertising cookies and Meta
With your permission, we use the Meta Pixel to understand whether visits from Facebook or Instagram adverts lead to enquiries or bookings. The Pixel is not loaded unless you choose “Allow advertising cookies”. You can reject it and still use every part of this website.
When Stripe confirms a paid booking, our server may send Meta the purchase value, currency, time, page address, Meta attribution identifiers and a protected one-way hash of the parent's email address. We do not send Meta a child's name, age, notes, class details or payment-card information. Meta uses this information to measure adverts, attribute bookings and improve advert delivery.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer. Our legal basis for optional advertising tracking is your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to run our sessions and meet our record-keeping obligations, then delete them. Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to help you. Class-interest registrations are retained for 12 months from the latest submission unless you ask us to remove them sooner. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it. Just email steph@tiny-acorns.co.uk and we'll sort it out. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your information.
